Waves of Wisdom #2 – First beach day of 2021

It has been over a week ago after my first Words of Wisdom post. Lately, I was on a more go with the flow vibe: less journalling and just do whatever makes me feel happy. Now I’m back on the journal track. Not doing it makes me feel meh. Here I am again writing about my week in Waves of Wisdom #2.

The first beach day of 2021

Last week’s weather was amazing and I went outside as much as possible. Walks in the park during lunch and after work. The curfew also changed to 10 pm instead of 9 pm, because of daylight savings time. A welcoming change together with sunny weather. The weather also inspired me to work on my first travel article.

On Wednesday, I went to the beach after work with my boyfriend and a friend. We had snacks and beers and enjoyed being outside again. Unfortunately, it got colder, so we drove to the McDrive and closed the day with burgers and fries. For dessert, we played Mario Kart (I ended up last). It was a great evening with a glimpse of what life can be like when Covid is over. I can’t wait!

Not a normal April Fools day

Thursday was a completely different day. I went to the office for the last day of my work bestie. I was quite nervous about this since I wanted to make it a great day without too many hard feelings. As usual, I made it a bigger thing for myself than it actually was. It was a good day and I was happy that we ended this chapter on a good note.

Waves of Wisdom: Long weekends

We had a long weekend, because of Easter. I binged Mocro Maffia (Season 3) just by myself on the couch in a hoodie and jogging pants on Friday. Sometimes that’s all you need after a busy week and a busy weekend ahead of you. On Saturday I had my driving lessons which are going great. I was always afraid to start driving lessons. I mean I’m 28 years old and just started driving, but ok better late than never. I can’t wait to get my license and drive to my friends and family.

Family time and lots of food

Easter was nice and relaxed. We started the day with a big breakfast that we prepared together: croissants, scrambled eggs, bacon, salmon, strawberries, orange juice: the whole works. Even did some dancing in our living room. After a chill morning, we went to our family to have more food and chill and on Monday we basically did the same thing. I realized how much I miss having these moments with our families. Especially with Covid, it is so difficult. I can’t wait to hug my family again, but I guess we have to be patient.
